Summary:  Directs and coordinates activities of Ag Plus’ Energy Department to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through Energy Department employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·        Supports Ag Plus’ stated Vision, Mission, and Business Values.

·        Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.

·        Provides outstanding and courteous customer service, timely billing, and product technical support.

·        Plans, develops and implements Energy Department policies and goals.

·        Coordinates activities, product distribution, and energy products ordering of the Energy Department and Energy Department Employees, to effect operational efficiency and economy.

·        Responsible for the pricing of Energy Department products and services, and the profitability of the Energy Department. Plus maintains the long and short fuel position of Ag Plus using energy futures and cash contracts.

·        Directs and coordinates promotion and sales of Ag Plus’ energy products or services performed, to develop new markets and increase Ag Plus’ share of the unattended fuel station, tankwagon, and transport direct markets, participation in CountryMark promotions, and obtain competitive position in the energy industry.

·        Prepares the Energy Department budget, and helps build the strategic plan of the Energy Department and Ag Plus.

·        Confers with the CEO and reviews activity, financial reports, operation, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required in the Energy Department.

·        Helps plan, develop and implement Ag Plus’ policies and goals.

·        Oversees Ag Plus’ compliance in the Energy Department in regard to governmental regulations, and safety.

Supervisory Responsibilities                                                            

Directly supervises 6 employees and 1 sub-ordinate supervisor in the Energy Department who supervises 3 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Ag Plus’ policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience                                                             

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills                                                                  

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors

Mathematical Skills                                                           

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability                                                               

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills                                                                  

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid CDL with the necessary HAZMAT endorsements

CETP certificate of completion

Other Skills and Abilities
